Equipment Consulting
Equipment Development
In the field of equipment development and optimization there is - among other things - experience with the following types of equipment:
- coating equipment
- PVD (i.e. evaporation and sputter equipment)
- CVD (i.e. microwave CVD equipment)
- glass melting furnaces
- continuous processes (tanks)
- discontinuous processes (crucibles, pots)
- crystal growth equipment
- vacuum and high vacuum furnaces (silicon, calcium fluoride)
- high pressure furnaces (gallium arsenide, indium phosphide)
- Czochralski furnaces (silicon, oxide crystals)
- high temperature CVD equipment (silicon carbide, zinc selenide, zinc sulfide)
Steps in Equipment Development
Typical steps during the development and manufacturing of equipment for materials are:
- preparation of the specification (tender and performance specification)
- conception of the equipment, i.e. a crystal growing furnace
- layout and design of the equipment (mechanics, electrics, automation)
- choice of sub-contractors for parts, components and sub-systems
- assembly of the components and sub-systems
- assembly of the equipment
- preparation of the software, documentation and manuals
- putting the system into service (from functional tests to process capability)
- acceptance tests of the system at the supplier
- disassembly and shipment of the equipment
- assembly and putting into service at the customers facility
- final acceptance tests
- CE and / or other certifications
